I have not read my Bible for the last two or three days. I suck at this Lent stuff! HA! :) My mom comes in town tomorrow afternoon and will be here until Friday morning. Of course, I have a crazy week but I am looking forward to spending some time with her.

Read the first chapter of Luke this morning and prayed. See you all in a bit!

I read the story in Genesis of the Tower of Babel. I feel like God is speaking to me through these stories that I know so well. I am looking at them with such a different eye as I did before. This story reminds me of what we/I was doing for so long. Trying to build a building that would go up to the heavens--putting stock in something "powerful" when God is truly the powerful. I am feeling so good these days! My mom comes today-looking forward to spending some time with her.

I prayed yesterday for the kids I am working with and for my family. I am hoping and praying that through all of the happenings in the last month, that Aaron may see God at work in our lives...thinking that may take a huge miracle but a girl can pray, right? :)

I did early prayers and then the BCP just now. We're reading the story of Joseph in the lectionary and it's fun to follow through it again.

I did early morning prayers and the morning office for the BCP just now, but my heart wasn't in it like usual... not sure why. I'm feeling drained today. Hope everyone is well.

I have been off this week. Not sure what's up. Prayer feels like a chore right now, like part of a checklist. I feel like I'm in one of those low times when you don't see the value of spiritual disciplines, ya know? I suppose that's when they are the most important. Otherwise you can just let yourself go. But it's hard because the motivation isn't there and distractions have a stronger pull. So, there's me for right now. I'm looking forward to date night tonight, dinner with Katie and good conversation with the church.
