I did the early morning office when I got up and the morning prayers from the BCP just now.

I'm going to have a great day whether I like it or not!

I am getting ready to embark on the final week of the Purity Study. Spent some time in prayer last night. Stella is sick and I always find myself praying more when I am up in the night with sick kiddos. I am getting ready to dive into the New Testament with NT Wright as my guide.

I am feeling great about this Monday! See you guys tomorrow!

I started the day with morning and centering prayer. I've been trying to do some yoga/prayer before bed. It's been really good.

We had a great thick discussion about rest, solitude, finding the true self, etc. at house group last night. I love it when that happens!

I've been a bit off today. But I'm reading about Romans and sensed that I needed to read it and about it in a better way. With lectio divina more in mind. We're talking about Romans 4 tonight. Hope it goes well. See you all tomorrow.

Necessary time of confession this morning, followed by arriving in the heart of Isaiah's encouragement to Israel/us, followed by the crucifixion/resurrection in Mark. Conclusion: faith, hope and love.

am almost done with this week's NT Wright. some of it seems a bit wordy for a simple explanation but so far, I like it. Last night, we read the story of Moses and it reminded me how God picks us out when we don't expect it. How He has such great plans for us that we don't even know sometimes. I feel so lucky to have this job. I feel so fulfilled in working at Redemption and the story caused me to reflect over the last year of my life and what my "burning bush" has been. I don't think it is just one thing but I definitely feel like God has done some amazing work in me over the past 12 months. I am also studying several verses about purity (obviously). I am looking forward to the Philippians study where I have a plan of attack...

Had a good week, despite being sick. I am ready to feel better and slowly coming back to life. (gotta luv the z-pac.) Finished my purity study yesterday. Great discussion on NT Wright yesterday. Spent some good time in prayer this week as well. Feeling God answering some prayers..waiting to see what He has in store for others. Found out my father in-law has benign tumors in his pancreas...good news but bad news: 90 percent of all benign tumors turn malignant when in pancreas. It is in a place where they can not operate. I am praying that God gives Sandi and Jim a lot of time before they embark on that journey. I pray that they can delight in each other and not focus on the cloud hanging over their head. I pray that God will meet them somewhere during this time, as both are kind of removed from Him. Please pray for my mom too-her surgery is on Tuesday. I am expecting good news but regardless prayer can't hurt!

Prayer has been tough this week. Feeling distracted and unfocused. Trying to live in Romans for a while.
