I did the BCP hours this morning. Looking forward to staff meeting and lectio there. I've also got to read the Gospel of Mark today for class and I'm pretty excited about it. I really love Mark as much as any other part of the Bible.

I did a lectio today before community group with Mark 5. I am going to use it tonight b/c we are going to have a small group due to sick kiddos. It was great to have that time with God before everyone showed up.

Yesterday we studied 1 Cor. 15 so I studied that for awhile in the afternoon. I didn't do the BCP hours yesterday morning, i think that is only the 2nd time in a couple of months I've missed. I felt wierd about it all day. Anyway 1 Cor. 15 is packed with difficult theology about the resurrection and we had a blast reading it out loud together and talking about it.

I did the BCP hours this morning. Here is my favorite prayer from today:

Almighty and eternal God, so draw our hearts to you, so guide our minds, so fill our imaginations, so control our wills, that we may be wholly yours, utterly dedicated unto you; and then use us, we pray you, as you will, and always to your glory and the welfare of your people; through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen

It's been a good week. I have been working through how Jesus heals and when he chooses to heal sickness and when he doesn't. My study just brings me through all kinds of scripture and I love it. Been doing the lectio also.

I have had a very busy week, distracted with so many things. I did the Divine hours today also the last 2 days, but only the morning offices. Cant seem to get to the others.

Working on the contrast and similarities of the old and new covenant Luke 22:20 next to Hebrews 9:19-22. Loving just thinking and studying this. Also haven't done the lectio today, I really pray that I do later.

I am feeling rather deflated today but was somewhat encouraged by my devotional today. Here are a few things I wanted to share:

We lose interest and give up when we have no vison, no encouragement, and no improvement, but only experience our everyday life with its trival tasks.

Never allow yourself to think that some tasks are beneath your dignity or too insignificant for you to do, and remind yourself of the example of Christ in John 13:1-17 (the washing of the disciples; feet).

Doing my bible study today, which is so scripture rich and continually has me in the bible.

Confessions:

It is snowing right now and bad words are coming out of my mouth because of the snow.....I am so sick of winter!!!!!!!!

I have only done the lectionary once this week...it irritates me with myself.

I totally interupted Kadi yesterday and imparted my "wisdom" when I should have been listening. I totally blew it.

Alaina's talking gets on my nerves. I don't understand her most the time. I love her so much, but can't get her. Okay, so she is most like me....that's probably the problem.
