my devotion today was right on a usual with what i needed to hear. It said...

It is because of our trusting in experience that we see the steadfast impatience of the Holy Spirit against unbelief. All of our fears are sinful, and we create our own fears by refusing to nourish ourselves in our faith. How can anyone who is identified with Jesus Christ suffer from doubt or fear! Our lives should be an absolute hymn of praise resulting from perfect, irrepressible, triumphant belief.

The part about - how can anyone who is identifies with JC suffer from doubt or fear- really is was I needed to hear. Ken's boss said that if they don't turn some stuff around he is going to have to start "rolling layoffs" which means Ken will work a month, then be off with no pay...awesome timing with a baby on the way, so that phrase really makes me think that it will be okay as long as the situation is in God's hands and we trust in him.

Regarding fear:

“There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out all fear…” (1 John 4:18.)

I really thought about this during the last days before the election because of all the fear mongering. Also fear is always something that plagues me.

sorry I have been off the map...
