I was reading Hebrews 10:24-25 and it reminded me of the essence of what Rowan Williams is talking about. "And let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds. no forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as tour see the day drawing nears."

I did the BCP hours today. Yesterday I didn't do anything...that's so lame! Anyway, prayers this morning were really great and I had fruitful time especially in Romans 10. The Message version was an especially helpful perspective on that passage. I hope that I'll be diligent in praying the hours today.

Peace,

I've been doing a study on the Psalms of Ascent. I've been bad at my lectionary this week....I really want to get back in to it.

Nice work Kerrie, Psalms of ascent seem appropriate for the next two weeks!

I did the BCP hours this morning. I'm hopeful that I will observe several times of prayer today.

I started in 2Kings today. Always laugh at the story of Elijah basically saying to the King of Isreal, Ahaziah..."What? God's not in Isreal, so you had to consult a false god??? You're a dead man." So final. Also started anew in the NT in Matthew and had a short, but filling, conversation with God today. He's so cool.

I have to be honest, I have done only 1 of my divine hour prayers this whole week! I have let myself become distracted and busy with other things. I have been reading and learning about Lamentations…interesting.

I did the BCP hours this morning. I got to two of them yesterday. I'm hoping for a very productive Friday.
