Respectfully disagree, Tim. Finished Luke yesterday - love Luke...so detailed, so much to think about. Started John this morning - hard to beat John 1...powerful! :)
Ok, you are right. It's virtually impossible to call any gospel the "finest."
I had a great time at the abbey. I spent a couple of hours trying to work on my contemplative skills. It was really life giving. I prayed one cycle of the hours w/the monks (24 hours) and it was good to be away, even if for just a short while.
This morning I prayed the morning office w/the monks and then came back to work. Did the BCP morning office at midday so as not to miss the lectionary passages.
Congrats to Scott & Katie... Welcome to the world Miles Patrick!
each week we will have a new post through which to interact. you can post comments as often as you want under each week in order to share what you are reading, disciplines you are engaging in, or encouragement to each other.
