I did the BCP hours this morning. I'm thrown off of my daily rhythm right now for some reason. Last week I did my early morning prayers every day, but only got to the Morning prayers a few times, which is really wierd. But, it was a wierd week altogether... I'm glad it's over!

This week, however, is looking good!

We had a good discussion last night at house group about rest and solitude. We decided to do a nature/solitude retreat at the arboretum this weekend which is always great.

I started today with a long walk and morning readings. I haven't been very consistent with my prayer times in the last few weeks. This week should be better.

We are reading Ephesians in groups and it's really GREAT!

I am starting to read Romans since that book as been coming up lot lately within our community.

Have loved digging deep into Ephesians again. Easy to "read over" the words of Paul and not think about what they truly mean! So cool to watch understanding grow in our group. Last night the highlight came as we began to grasp the magnitude of "grace" and "mercy" from God and what it could look like extending it into the world around us!

I have been doing about average in my reading the Scripture. I am almost out of the Torah, just Deuteronomy left, I am starting my next cycle through the gospels, and I am in Hebrews. And I am with Kristen, I have been thumbing through Romans a lot because what we have been talking about in our community.

This week I have felt a push to "get back to basics," which is actually something you never are supposed to get a way from.

Peace.

I did early morning prayers this morning and just now did the BCP morning office. It feels like I'm starting to get a bit of a rhythm going with those two offices now.
