Hey Everyone,

Hope your disciplines are going well - it's been a little lonely out here for a couple of weeks :)

Today I did early morning prayers. When I got into the office I did the BCP morning office. We started over in John - the word became flesh and dwelt among us was the passage - wierd, huh?

Looking forward to being more consistant now that the kids are back to school. Moving through the Psalms and Revelation now. Both draw me so deeply in to Him.

Tim, I love the mystery, and thus the faith that John 1 requires. Makes me want to share :).

Yeah, isn't it funny how important the mystery is to John? He always has Jesus telling people not to call him Messiah or not to reveal his miracles.

Today I did the early morning liturgy and prayed the morning office from the BCP when I got to work.

Peace,

I did my early morning prayers today and just completed the BCP morning office. I feel like I'm starting to get back into a rhythm with structuring my day around prayer.

Peace,

I did matins early this morning and the BCP morning office. The Psalm was the 18th, "I will call upon the Lord, So shall I be saved from my enemies." I love that Psalm.

May you be blessed with the presence of a loving God who saves you this day...

Studying "Joel" for CBS this week and reading Revelation 9 - the fulfillment of the long-term prophesy of Joel. Pretty interesting. Joel also gives us one of God's most hope-filled promises..."I will repay you for the years locust have eaten-" He speaks of a time following the judgment of Judah in that day, but the symbolism for our lives of His restoration and abundance is beautiful. And my favorite..."Rend your heart, not your garments. Return to the Lord your God, for He is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and He relents from sending calamity."
