Hi- still praying the hours, but feeling impatient about it. In this mornings Psalm one line read “My heart is stirring with a noble song” which really stayed with me because I have felt so restless lately. My life here does not really include anything challenging or creative, so I don’t feel much like an “image bearer” right now. Needing to be shaken up, like the an etch-a-sketch! Mandy
I did the BCP hours this morning. I love psalm 50 - God totally calls the people out.
Hey Mandy, you should by the Archbishop of Canterbury's book, "Where God Happens," by Rowan Williams. We're reading it and are posting a podcast (on the RC website under "audio" and book discussion...it's one of our lenten activities for this year. This book is really challenging to me and I've been feeling a bit like a lousy image bearer lately as well. this book is helping, at least a bit!
I am still loving the lectionary and particularily how the different parts are meshing up to one another. I am struggling with some anger and frustration from a "volunteer" that is quitting...she's only worked once every other month and it's too much. I need to extend some grace rather than being so irritated.
I was moved this week by a song that really means a lot to me. Here's the link.

It's seven minutes long so make sure you block out a chunk of time to sit back, reflect, and enjoy. It moves me every time (not that I expect that to happen to you, of course).
each week we will have a new post through which to interact. you can post comments as often as you want under each week in order to share what you are reading, disciplines you are engaging in, or encouragement to each other.

Also, every one of us should watch this three minute video and pray for Sara's soul as she navigates a strange world called "youth ministry." :)
