So today as one of the things I am doing this week, I left a sign on my driveway with a stack of brownies for the jr. highers that wait for the bus. It was fun watching their reaction from the window of my kitchen. They looked around like it was a prank before they took anything! Too funny. Anyway, I am going to do this every morning this week and maybe on going...we will see! (sometimes it will just be a note). I can't wait to see you all in a bit!

I just figured out what I need to do for the Blitz this week. Reread Scott's list and at the bottom is this idea that struck like a ton of bricks...

"Don’t say the first reactionary thing that comes to mind for a week. Ask at least one question before you consider giving your own thoughts."

This will be a challenge considering most of what I manage to say is "reactionary". It will definitely be an act of God in me. I start NOW...

I did the early morning liturgy when I woke up and then prayed the morning office from the BCP just now.

I'm hearing back all kinds of good stuff from the blitz. I think Sunday we are going to share some of it as a church. I love this church! I'm so glad you guys are on staff here...

Sorry I've been absent for a few days. I've tried to focus all my energy on my parents while I've been out here. And also having Miles out here makes me focus in on what I'm doing. I've had such a good time with him, by the way. It's been a good trip for us. I'll share more about my parents when I see you all, but I think it's going to be harder them then they are letting on. See you all soon.

So, I have been giving the kids challenges each week (as part of the study but it couldn't be better timing-it fits perfectly with the Blitz). Anyway, one week it was to say hi to 10 kids you would normally walk right by. Lucas Hill did it and a kid threw a piece of pie in his face! It made me think of the Clayton's so I shared that story. The kids thought it was a riot. I know it didn't feel good getting "pied" but it opened up a great discussion about how that kid probably feels most of the time and that it was hard for him to let his guard down and accept kindness because it was so foreign! I see God doing some amazing things in our church! YAY GOD. (Yes, I did just say that-too much youth group!) Getting ready to bust out the Bible and do my morning readings. Love you all.

I did the early morning office when I woke this morning. Just now I did the BCP morning office. Lewis was here with me and we listened to the audio version of the prayers while we sat and looked at icons of Jesus (yes, I'm nerdy enough to have a bunch of powerpoint displays that I watch while doing prayers.) It was fun to watch him & hear his questions about the prayers and the pictures as well.

Sara, it looked like youth group was going great last night! Way to go w/your challenges!

Hey Friends,

I did early morning prayers and then the BCP office when I got to work. How are your disciplines going?

Prayer Request: I'm struggling this week w/focus and energy. Please pray for me to be diligent and work hard and stay focused. This is what my "enneathought" email sent me today:

"The degree to which Sevens are anxious about themselves and their lives is the degree to which their minds race out of control, leading them into a widening circle of unfocused behaviors... They tend to spin out of control trying to realize all of their ideas, in a search for satisfying experiences and happiness."

Yeah, that's me...

Hey friends,

I did the early morning office when I got up, and the BCP office just now.

Please be praying for our meeting with the Olathe Christian School folks today. We are going to see if we can agree on principle to purchase their building. Our meeting is at 4:30.

Peace,

Since I am first to post, thought i would just do it on this week again. Tim, I want to get the enneathought...how do you get it?

I am reading a book on Christian Doctrine that my mom gave me answering some of the questions in the back this week.

Tim, I know it was last week, but I am feeling low energy this week-pray for me! My allergies are dragging me down and I am not feeling well so it is hard to get motivated!
