Hey Friends,

I did the early morning office when I woke up and did the morning office from the BCP just now. I'm feeling a little bit overwhelmed by all that needs to be done for us to have a successful campaign. Pray for me to be diligent and work hard throughout each day without being discouraged!

Peace,

Hi everyone,

I'm sitting in class right now. Well, actually I'm skipping chapel, which is why I thought I would write on our blog. I ready Psalm 65 and 66 today. I seem to be resisting any kind of normal pattern for prayer. Sometimes I think I want to stick close to the daily lectionary readings, but as soon as I do I find myself resisting it. So then I try and just read chapters at a time but then resist it. Then I try and read just one book or section for a while and then resist it. Weird, huh? Hope you all are doing well today.

My day took off and didn't go the way I wanted it. It's 8:50 pm and I am just now blogging. I am ready this article about the church for my reading group and just finished Ch. 1 of Crazy Love by Francis Chan. Some good stuff in both places. I am not sure where I am going to read in my Bible this week. Any suggestions??

Peaceful picture. I find it hard to resolve my faith with that of my family... I believe and I believe in the full knowledge that I am flawed and unworthy.

Finished morning prayer just now. I actually feel good about it. I've been struggling with motivation and persevering through these things that I need to do daily, but this today, with God's help, I felt like I overcame some strong resistance to pray and found myself praying and reading Scripture and being engaged and even reflecting some by writing a few thoughts down. Thank God and thank you for your prayers! I pray that today you all would truly and devoutly serve God. Peace!

I did the early morning office when I woke up and the BCP morning office just now. I'm still really enjoying listening to the office via mission st. claire. It's going to be an incredibly full day!

I found a lot of solace praying the compline last night. Perhaps the best line in the entire liturgy, whether it be morning, noon, evening, or compline prayer is this: "Guide us waking, O Lord, and guard us sleeping; that awake we may watch with Christ, and asleep we may rest in peace." I am praying this for you all!

I did early morning prayers when I got up (bleary-eyed and tired). Just did the BCP hours & read in Acts where Paul rubs it in to his shipmates who thought they were doomed in the storm... pretty funny actually!

I had a great day at church today. One of the quotes of church today was not to pray to find someone to love but to pray to love the one you marry. I was a guy that treated my wife like she wasn't worth anything and ran out the doors all the time when I was called to account and then I realized that I was trying to find love in the wrong places and now I have that love through the healing grace of the Saviour Jesus Christ by abiding by his teachings and having the willingness is a blessing. I pray that I will be a loving husband who looks for the good in everyone regardless who they are.
